Vinification
Hand-picking and selective harvesting. Spontaneous fermentation in wooden fermenters with traditional mash fermentation. Matured for 30 months in small oak barrels and 6 months in large wooden casks.

The Bela Rex 2021 from Mittelburgenland combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot into a powerful, elegant cuvée. The hand-picked grapes were vinified separately and spontaneously fermented in traditional wooden vats. Maturation for 30 months in small oak barrels and a further six months in large wooden barrels gives the wine depth, structure, and velvety tannins. The gravelly loess and calcareous loam soils provide fine minerality, freshness, and a long, harmonious finish.
