Description
Description
The 2024 BIO Roter Veltliner Ried Steinberg from Weingut Ecker Eckhof originates from the Großweikersdorfer Steinberg vineyard, situated between Ruppersthal and Großweikersdorf in the Wagram wine region. At an altitude of 320 meters above sea level, the vines grow on lean, weathered primary rock soils with loess and sand, facing southeast. The grapes were selectively hand-picked multiple times, gently pressed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent maturation for one year in large, neutral acacia barrels on fine lees imparts complexity, structure, and depth to the wine. This is a multi-layered, elegant Veltliner with ripe fruit, delicate spice, and a long, harmonious finish.
