Description
Description
The hochberc® 2021 is a Blaufränkisch with character from calcareous loam soils with a sandstone subsoil. The hand-picked grapes were spontaneously fermented in open wooden vats and left on the skins for 40 days. Aging for over 30 months in 500-liter wooden barrels gives the wine depth, structure, and a fine spiciness. A mineral, complex red wine with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and great aging potential.
