Vinification: Selective hand harvest, spontaneous fermentation, aging in small French barriques (approx. 12 months on the full lees), followed by approx. 6 months of fine lees aging in stainless steel tanks, classic aging with wood influence and long maturation.

The Kollwentz Chardonnay Gloria 2023 comes from the top Gloria vineyard on the Leitha Mountains in Burgenland. The fully ripe grapes are selectively hand-picked and spontaneously fermented, after which the wine matures for around 12 months in small French oak barrels and a further 6 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. This aging gives it depth, a creamy structure, and enormous complexity. Calcareous shell limestone and loamy soils provide precise minerality and freshness. A powerful, elegant Chardonnay with great aging potential and a long, salty-mineral finish.
