The 2023 Chardonnay Grosse Reserve from Weingut Josef Fritz originates from the Wagram in Lower Austria and is one of the winery's more powerful, wood-aged white wines. The grapes are carefully harvested and gently processed to clearly reflect ripeness and origin. Maturation takes place in wood, accompanied by extended aging, which allows the wine to gain structure, depth, and creaminess. The aroma profile reveals yellow tropical fruits, nougat, and subtle meadow herbs, complemented by fine spice and saline minerality. A complex, elegant Chardonnay with good balance and aging potential.
