Vinification: Hand-harvested, approximately 10 hours of skin maceration, gentle pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently aged on fine lees until the end of May of the following year.

The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Weinviertel DAC "Alte Reben" comes from the Ried Hochstrass vineyard in Hohenwarth in the Weinviertel. The old vines are rooted in calcareous, sandy brown earth soil with a high gravel content in the subsoil. The hand-picked grapes are pressed after about ten hours of skin contact, and the clarified juice is fermented in steel tanks. The wine then remains on the fine lees until the end of May of the following year, which gives it additional creaminess and depth. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied with tropical fruit, stone fruit, fine nutty notes, and white pepper, carried by a supportive acidity and an elegant finish.
