The Grüner Veltliner Ried Scheiben 1ÖTW Erste Lage 2023 comes from the top vineyard site Scheiben in Fels am Wagram. The vines grow on calcareous, loamy-sandy loess soils with optimal south-facing exposure, which ensures intense ripeness and aromatic depth. Selective hand-picking and 18 months of aging in large wooden barrels give the wine structure, power, and a delicate smoky minerality. The result is a complex, multifaceted Veltliner with tension between ripe fruit and spicy depth. A long-lived single-vineyard wine with great aging potential and an elegant, long finish.
