The 2024 Organic Grüner Veltliner Ried Mordthal from Weingut Ecker Eckhof originates from the historic Mordthal vineyard in Ruppersthal, within the Wagram wine region. The southeast-facing vineyards, situated at an altitude of 290 meters above sea level, are characterized by deep loess soil with limestone and clay, offering ideal conditions for old vines. After multiple selections, the grapes were gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent aging for over a year on fine lees in large, neutral acacia barrels lends the wine complexity, structure, and depth. A multi-faceted, rich Veltliner with juicy fruit and a mineral, long finish.
