Vinification:
Selective hand harvest, 12–24 hours of maceration, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels. Aged on lees in oak barrels and then in stainless steel tanks, bottled unfiltered.

The Langenlois Ried Steinmassl Riesling 2022 originates from the renowned Steinmassl vineyard in Langenlois, Kamptal, at an altitude of 300–340 m above sea level. The grapes were selectively hand-picked and spontaneously fermented after 12–24 hours of skin contact – half in stainless steel tanks, half in wooden barrels. Aging in oak barrels and extended lees contact lend the wine substance, richness, and depth. Gneiss and clay-rich marine sediment soils characterize its pronounced minerality and chalky texture. A distinctive, powerful Riesling with vibrant acidity, saline tension, and elegant drinkability.
