Vinification:
Selective hand-picking, whole bunch pressing, fermentation partly in wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks, followed by 11 months of aging on the full lees, gently filtered and bottled.

The Ried Mordthal Roter Veltliner 2023 comes from a south-facing, wind-protected hillside with a special microclimate around Kirchberg am Wagram. The sandy and gravel soils, overlaid with loess, give the wine its distinctive minerality and depth. After selective harvesting, the grapes were whole-bunch pressed and fermented in both wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks. The subsequent eleven months of aging on the full lees provide complexity, structure, and elegance. A wine that is refined yet powerful, with juicy pressure and a long, mineral finish.
