Vinification:

The 2021 Kollwentz Steinzeiler originates from the southern slopes of the Leitha Mountains in Burgenland. The fully ripe grapes are carefully hand-picked, selected, and fermented on the skins for several weeks. Maturation for approximately 30 months in small French oak barrels lends the wine depth, structure, and great aging potential. Calcareous and loamy soils provide mineral tension and elegant spice. A powerful, complex red wine with great character, silky tannins, and a long finish.
